![]() #3 is not a dealbreaker - I have gladly done productions that I was not paid for, I just want to be on the same page right from the start. It’s just important to be aware that I *do* sometimes have to be picky-choosy with what I take on, so I am always on the lookout for games/teams with:Ģ) EXTENSIVE AMOUNTS OF (NEAR)-FINISHED CONTENT (script, engine, etc.), or a very clear schedule on when said things will be finished by, and ģ) Transparency in regards to whether it is for fun or for profit, whether or not Talent will be compensated, etc. The people you work with could very well be the directors and studio owners of the industry 10-15 years from now, so why WOULDN’T you network with them? ![]() Dust: An Elysian Tail was indie, Freedom Planet was indie, Stick it to the Man was indie, and each found success in their own way. Certainly! Indie games are oftentimes just as important and meaningful to a VO person as the AAA-games can be, and *absolutely* can that be the case in the gaming industry’s status today. ![]()
